ChatHarbor Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 21, 2026
What ChatHarbor does
ChatHarbor captures visible AI conversation messages only after you choose Capture current chat. It creates Markdown or text exports and stores a redacted archive for your recent history.
Information collected
- Visible prompt and response text in the captured chat.
- Conversation title, AI provider, website origin, message count, and capture time.
- A random anonymous installation ID used to isolate your archive history.
- Technical request data processed by hosting infrastructure, including IP address, browser information, endpoint, response status, and timestamp.
Redaction and use
Before storage, common emails, URLs, phone numbers, payment-card-like numbers, API keys, authentication tokens, IP addresses, and street-address-like strings are replaced. Automated redaction may not identify every sensitive detail. Stored records provide your recent archives and help improve ChatHarbor. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Storage
ChatHarbor uses Vercel for hosting and MongoDB Atlas for encrypted database storage. Prompt content is not sent to third-party AI model providers by ChatHarbor.
Retention and deletion
Records remain until deleted in ChatHarbor or removed following a verified deletion request. Uninstalling removes the local installation ID but does not automatically identify server records for deletion.
